Print Banner

Client: Cherry Tree Productions (Professional Event Entertainment Company)

Audience: Brides and Grooms

Challenge: Recreate the pop up banner used at a wedding trade show. The wedding show is an overwhelming environment with many vendors who offer the same services. The goal is to have a banner that stands out and draws people into the booth to engage in conversation.

Tone: Sincere and Magical

Strategy: As a “one-stop” shop for all event entertainment needs, the original banner was a list of the technical services the company offered. I wanted to focus on using words that reminds the bride and/or groom that the day truly is about them. Using Your Dream Wedding Begins With You and Envision a reception that reflects the both of you to show that they are the most important aspect of the day. And including one of the company’s original taglines “If You Can Imagine It, Let’s Make It Happens” lets couples know that booking the event is not just a number in the books for the company, but an opportunity to work together to make someone’s day everything they’ve wanted it to be.

Magazine Ad (Spec)

Client: Covergirl (Cosmetics Company)

Audience: Make-up lovers between 24-40 who are confident and like using make-up to enhance their natural beauty

Challenge: Create a one-page magazine ad to introduce a new lipstick that doesn’t look fake or over the top in an engaging way to get people to want to go to their local drugstore and buy it.

Tone: Fun, Stylish and Promotional

Strategy: In keeping with the idea of a product that enhances natural beauty, I wanted to keep the copy clean and minimal. Showcasing the product’s goal is really about the True You shining through and then having three bullet points focusing on the benefits that is direct, clear and compelling.
